What is the Event Micrositetm? The Event Micrositetm is what we call the public site created using the information you enter into Eventful about your event. When you create an event and add sessions, speakers and supporting information, it's published in real-time to an individual website just for your event. Can I turn off the Event Micrositetm?Yes, and we advise you to turn off the Event Micrositetm while you're still creating your event and organizing the details. Do I have to use the Event Micrositetm for my event??No. If you prefer to use your own event website, you can include the Eventful registration forms into your existing website. If the Event Micrositetm is public, how can I control who registers? You can decide to make your event "invitation only", meaning only attendees receiving a personalized invitation email can register. People can contact the event manager using a web form. Can I decide what the Event Micrositetm looks like?Yes. We currently support for about 15 themes and are continually working to add more. You select the microsite theme after creating the event. Does Eventful place any branding on my Event Micrositetm or attendee communications?Of course not. Highlighting your organization or cause is one purpose of your event and we never want to dillute your message. Is Eventful reliable? All card information is stored with the payment processor, Authorize.net. If we cancel our subscription, can we export our data? You can export each event, including all attendees and transaction information in a simple XML format. We're also working on an API that will allow developers to access event data programmatically. Can we purchase Eventful to run on our own servers?Yes! Individual licenses can be purchased. Contact us for pricing information. What kind of support is provided? We provide unlimited email support. We make every effort to respond to all emails within 24 hours during business days. Also, we've created a large collection of documentation and tutorial movies to answer any questions you might have about managing your event. Other than the monthly subscription fee, you'll only be charged when you purchase additional blocks of attendees for each event. Attendee purchases are a one-time purchase and do not recur each month. How do I receive attendee registration fees? You have two options to receive registration fees paid by attendees. Every two weeks, you may request funds for all cleared transactions. We'll mail a check to the address on file. Also, when you archive the event, we'll send you a check for all remaining cleared funds. Do I need to have my own merchant account? No, all funds are processed by Eventful's merchant account. Since we have to pay a merchant account fee on credit cards, we relay this fee to you. (Currently, fees are 2.5% for Visa and MasterCard and 3.89% for American Express.) What does this mean for your registration fees? A registration fee of $100, paid for with a Visa (2.5% fee) has a net of $97.50. |
